Moving Up at Hendy House!

We've continued our good progress with an average of 40 workers on-site each day from Shore Construction and our trusted supply chain contractors.

The floor slab is complete up to the 2nd floor and over the next four weeks the floor slabs up to the 4th floor will be finalised. Scaffolding will also be erected as we begin the brickwork.

Our preparations to launch the show flat ready for student marketing are also underway. The flat will be based a short walk away from the site on Holdenhurst Road and will launch in 2023.

CAREERS IN CONSTRUCTION

We're excited to host our first CSCS course in Bournemouth, working in partnership with JobCentre Plus. Our 1-day CSCS course is free for participants and provides the training and accreditation to kickstart a career in construction. Plus our team provide employability training to help get participants into work straight away.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER

The Hendy House foundations are now finished and it's exciting to see the building start to take shape. As the building rises up, so our community engagement grows.

Over the coming month, we're hosting a course to kickstart local careers in construction plus we'll start recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager.There are so many varied careers within the construction industry and being able to help people at the start of their careers is something the Shore Construction team are incredibly proud of.

Creating work opportunities for the local community is a big priority for the whole team.

Our work in the community was recently featured on ITV Meridian as part of our charity partnership with WBC Cares UK. We continue to be committed to working with the community and will share regular updates as we progress.
