Services
As Principal Contractor, Shore Construction takes full responsibility for the planning, management, monitoring and coordination of health and safety throughout the construction phase. We understand the weight of this responsibility and have developed robust systems to ensure every project meets the highest standards of safety and delivery.
Our approach begins well before breaking ground. We conduct thorough pre-construction assessments, identifying potential challenges and developing comprehensive construction phase plans that address every aspect of the project. Our experienced team coordinates all trades and contractors on site, ensuring seamless integration of activities whilst maintaining strict quality control and safety standards.
JCT CONTRACTING
We're experienced in delivering projects under various contractual arrangements, including JCT Design and Build contracts where we take single-point responsibility for both design development and construction delivery. This D&B approach provides clients with cost certainty and streamlined accountability, whilst our expertise in managing design teams ensures technical requirements are met efficiently. We're equally comfortable working under traditional JCT contracts, whether that's Standard Building Contract, Intermediate Building Contract, or Minor Works, adapting our approach to suit the project's scale and complexity.
MANAGING COMPLEXITY
We manage the complex web of relationships between clients, designers, subcontractors and suppliers, acting as the central point of communication and control. This includes maintaining the construction phase plan, ensuring all parties understand their responsibilities, and coordinating the logistics that keep projects moving efficiently. Our site management teams are skilled at balancing the competing demands of programme, cost and quality, making pragmatic decisions that keep projects on track.

PRIORITISING HEALTH & SAFETY
During pre-construction, our SHEQ Team, together with the project leadership, will assess all develop a site-specific Pre-construction Health & Safety Plan that encapsulates risk, roles, responsibilities. This is developed to incorporate the detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) that will required for the various elements of work. Our experience means we can provide comprehensive support to assist the client in completion of their pre-tender information and fulfilling their own obligations.
